Course Details
Biotechnology is the use of living systems and organisms to develop or make products, or “any technological application that uses biological systems, living organisms or derivatives thereof, to make or modify products or processes for specific use”.
For thousands of years, humankind has used biotechnology in agriculture, food production, and medicine but now with latest Inventions and technology upgrades it is also employed in diverse sciences such as genomics, recombination gene techniques, applied immunology, and development of pharmaceutical therapies and diagnostic tests.
The graduates of Biotechnology will posses the following qualities:
- Have a strong foundation in scientific and engineering fundamentals which prepare them for a successful career in Biotechnology and allied fields.
- Function at a technically competent level in formulating and solving problems in Biotechnology.
- Organize and utilize the knowledge to develop biological processes and gene manipulation techniques.
Duration: 4 Years
Eligibility : The student should have passed 10 + 2 (PCM) examination from a recognized board.
