Right to Information (RTI) – PK University

The Right to Information Act, 2005 (RTI Act-2005) is a landmark legislation that empowers Indian citizens to seek information from public authorities to ensure transparency and accountability in governance. The Act sets out the practical framework for accessing information held by public authorities and provides for the establishment of the Central Information Commission and State Information Commissions.

At PK University, the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO) / RTI Cell is responsible for handling all applications filed under the RTI Act. The office adheres to all provisions and procedures outlined in the Act and updates as amended from time to time. Any citizen of India may seek “information” pertaining to PK University and its constituent departments under this Act.

The RTI Cell coordinates with various departments to collect the required information and ensures timely disposal of RTI applications within the time frame defined by the Act.
